An introduction to our Founder!

An introduction to our Founder!

Hey candle lovers 🕯️

Welcome to our first Blog Post!

We’ve been meaning to start this blog for soooo long, but as you can imagine we’ve been super busy! The purpose of our blog will be to educate you, about all things home fragrance and share things we learn, that you may find interesting.

This first post will just be a short introduction into our founder..

So Hi 👋🏽 my name is Danielle, and I am the Founder and Owner of Brûler. If you have purchased at one of our markets or pop-ups, we have probably met already! As the sole employee of this company, I’m not only the Chandler (candle maker), but I also manage our website, social media, marketing, delivery, do the pop-up events, and everything else that comes along with running a business!

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is ‘do you make the candles and diffusers’ the answer is yes, I make all the candles and reed diffusers you purchase from us, which believe me take a lot of time and effort, but it’s worth it hearing all your feedback and reactions!

The second, most asked question I get asked is ‘why did you start the business’ well, I started making candles in lockdown as I was tired of buying overpriced candles which don’t smell when you burn them, and I also found the candle making process, very therapeutic! Fast-forward 3 years, and we’re slowly but surely, becoming a reputable home fragrance brand, that really is bold in scent and style!

Some other interesting facts:

- 'Brûler' means 'to burn' or 'burn' in French, see what I did there 😉 (although I'm not French!)

- I’m originally from Bedfordshire, but have lived in London on and off for the last 10 years, now based in East London where our products are made.

- I have a French Bulldog called Wilson, you may have seen him on our Instagram or met him at our markets…

- Currently, I run the business ‘part-time’ alongside my full-time job in tech, I do hope one day, it turns into my full-time occupation, as I really do love it and it doesn’t feel like work, despite all of my weekends being taken up!

Anyway that’s enough of me! We (I) hope to at least do 1 blog post a month, so stay tuned for more content coming soon.

D x
